KCET 2026: Rank Calculation Guide

For the KCET 2026 engineering rankings, the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) follows a balanced weightage system. Your final rank is determined by taking 50% of your performance in the KCET Entrance Exam (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) and 50% of your 2nd PUC (Class 12) Board PCM marks.

How to Calculate Your Composite Score

To predict your rank accurately, we use the composite score method. First, your KCET marks (out of 180) are converted to a percentage. Next, your Board PCM marks (out of 300) are converted to a percentage. The average of these two percentages gives you your final "Ranking Percentage."

Why Board Marks are the "Secret Weapon"

A high score in your 2nd PUC Board exams can significantly boost your rank if the CET paper is particularly difficult. If your board marks are above 95%, you have a massive advantage before the entrance exam even begins.
